the short, honest version
When you slip a question into the notebook, it comes to me by email and is stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this site. I don’t ask for your name or email, so it’s anonymous unless you write something identifying in it yourself. I read them all, and some become essays, always without anything that could point back to you.
If you sign up, your email address is kept by the newsletter service I use, only to send you new entries. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and I never sell or share the list.
No ads, no tracking cookies, no analytics following you around. The moving photos and stickers remember nothing about you; reload the page and they’re back where they started.
Like every website, the host keeps basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to keep the site running and safe. The handwriting fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google for them. Book links go to Amazon, which has its own privacy rules once you’re there.
You can ask me to show you or delete anything you’ve sent, or take you off the email list, at any time. Message me on Instagram.
